Connect cTrader once, closed trades import themselves
No export, no upload, no remembering to do it on Friday. Authorize your cTrader account once and closed trades sync on every dashboard visit and daily in the background — commission and swap intact. The first sync backfills your existing history, and a trade already imported by CSV isn't double-counted. Automatic sync is a paid-plan feature; CSV import stays available on every plan.
Read-only access, always
cTrader sync uses read-only API access — ExpectancyIQ can see your closed trades but can never place, modify, or close a position. Nothing about your account's trading state can be touched from here.
Swap and commission netted correctly
Overnight swap charges and per-trade commission are pulled from your broker's own closed-deal data and netted into P&L automatically — not estimated, not left for you to reconcile by hand afterward.
Multi-currency accounts, no silent USD assumption
Each trading account has its own currency, picked when you create it. A GBP- or EUR-denominated account displays balance, P&L, and every chart in that currency instead of always assuming USD.
Best pairs by net P&L
A worked example: lot size and pip value
A standard lot on EURUSD is 100,000 units of the base currency, and since EURUSD quotes in USD, a one-pip move (0.0001) on one standard lot is worth exactly 100,000 × 0.0001 = $10. A 20-pip stop is 20 × $10 = $200 of risk per lot, before commission and swap. On a $10,000 account risking 1% per trade ($100), that stop supports $100 ÷ $200 = 0.5 lots. Trade a cross pair like GBPJPY instead and the pip value depends on the live GBP/USD or JPY/USD rate at the time of the trade, not a fixed number — get it wrong and the position-sizing math is off by however much the rate has moved. ExpectancyIQ pulls the actual pip/point value from your broker's own closed-deal data on a cTrader sync, so a sizing decision is never one manual lookup away from a silent error.
Importing from your platform
cTrader
CSV import works today, or connect the account from Settings → Trading Accounts for automatic daily sync on a paid plan — read-only, with the first sync backfilling existing history.
Any other broker
Generic CSV (Fills) FIFO-matches a raw executions/order-history export into closed trades — that's how a real Black Bull Markets forex/CFD account was imported without a dedicated integration. Generic CSV and Generic CSV (Entry/Exit + Side) cover brokers that already export closed trades.
Common questions from forex & CFD traders
Do you support live broker sync?
Yes, for cTrader. Connect the account once from Settings → Trading Accounts and closed trades import themselves — on every dashboard visit and daily in the background — with no CSV export. Access is read-only: ExpectancyIQ can never place or modify a trade. The first sync backfills your existing history, and a trade already imported by CSV isn't double-counted. Automatic sync is a paid-plan feature; CSV import stays available on every plan, for cTrader and every other platform.
Do you support non-USD trading accounts?
Yes — each trading account has its own currency, picked when you create it, and every figure for that account (balance, P&L, charts, journal) displays in that currency instead of always assuming USD. Useful for a GBP- or EUR-denominated funded/prop account.
What markets and trading styles does ExpectancyIQ support?
Futures and prop-firm trading is where ExpectancyIQ is strongest — contract specs, tick values, and prop-firm risk rules are handled natively. cTrader (CFD/forex) works today too, either by CSV import or by connecting the account for automatic sync on a paid plan, and Generic CSV (Fills) FIFO-matches raw executions from any broker's fills export — not just the platforms named above — into closed trades, so the product is built to be useful to any trader, not futures-only.
What if my broker or platform isn't listed?
Use Generic CSV, Generic CSV (Entry/Exit + Side), or Generic CSV (Fills) in the import wizard and map your columns manually — whichever shape matches your file (buy/sell prices, entry/exit price with a side column, or one row per raw execution).
Trading futures instead? ExpectancyIQ for Futures Traders covers tick-native math and the 17:00 CT session rollover.
