ExpectancyIQ

Import → Analyze → Improve

Drop in your fills. We handle the platform quirks.

Tradovate, NinjaTrader, cTrader, and Topstep exports each have their own header formats, timestamp conventions, and fee structures — ExpectancyIQ auto-detects the source and maps it, down to fractional CFD lot sizes and swap fees. Connect a cTrader account on a paid plan and you skip this step entirely: closed trades arrive on their own.

Automatic cTrader Sync (paid plans)

Connect cTrader once. Every closed trade shows up on its own.

No export, no upload, no remembering to do it on Friday. Authorize your cTrader account once and closed trades import themselves — on every dashboard visit and daily in the background — with commission and swap intact. Access is read-only: ExpectancyIQ can never place or modify a trade. CSV import stays available on every plan and for every other platform.

Structured Journaling

A journal that's part of the trade, not a separate notebook.

Every trade gets its own structured capture — strategy, confluences, mistakes, planned R:R — plus mood, emotions, and a written reflection. Day-level pre-market plans and post-market reviews live right alongside the trades they explain.

Cash Flow & Balance Reconciliation

Your balance, matched to your broker or prop firm.

A deposits/withdrawals ledger keeps your equity curve and balance figure accurate for any account topped up incrementally or paid out by a prop firm — without touching win rate, expectancy, or drawdown %. A running per-trade balance column and an editable starting balance let you bisect and fix a mismatch instead of guessing. Each account also has its own currency, so a GBP or EUR funded account displays correctly throughout.

Why traders choose ExpectancyIQ

Precision, not a generic port

Session-aware timing (CME/Globex hours, the 17:00 CT trading-day roll), tick/point-native futures math, and fractional CFD/forex lot sizing — real market mechanics, not a one-size-fits-all approximation.

Under 32¢ a day

One annual plan, early-access pricing locked in for your first year — nothing compared to what one bad trade costs you.

Dark-first, built for traders' screens

You live in dark trading platforms all day — ExpectancyIQ's default theme matches, not an afterthought light-mode-first design.

Prop-firm risk, not an afterthought

Drawdown, daily loss-limit, consistency, and a Monte Carlo risk simulator — the eval-account guardrails other journals treat as a side feature.

Your balance, verified

A deposits/withdrawals ledger and a running per-trade balance column let you bisect your journal against a broker or prop-firm statement — plus per-account currency for non-USD funded accounts.

Exact commission, not a rate guess

Fills-based FIFO import gives ground-truth commission per trade — most journals approximate it from a flat rate.

FAQ

Questions, answered

The short version — the full FAQ covers data privacy, billing, exports, and more.

What is ExpectancyIQ?

A trade journaling and analytics tool that goes beyond your P&L to show the habits, setups, sessions, and risk patterns actually driving your results — so every trade becomes a chance to improve, not just a line in a spreadsheet.

What brokers and platforms can I import from?

Tradovate (completed trades or raw fills), NinjaTrader, cTrader, and Topstep (TopstepX) are natively supported with auto-detection — and cTrader can skip the export entirely by connecting the account for automatic sync (paid plans). Generic CSV, Generic CSV (Entry/Exit + Side), and Generic CSV (Fills) cover everything else via manual column mapping — the Fills option FIFO-matches a raw executions/order-history export from any broker into closed trades, which is how a real Black Bull Markets forex/CFD account was imported without a dedicated integration.

Do you support live broker sync?

Yes, for cTrader. Connect the account once from Settings → Trading Accounts and closed trades import themselves — on every dashboard visit and daily in the background — with no CSV export. Access is read-only: ExpectancyIQ can never place or modify a trade. The first sync backfills your existing history, and a trade already imported by CSV isn't double-counted. Automatic sync is a paid-plan feature; CSV import stays available on every plan, for cTrader and every other platform.

What is the Risk Simulator?

A Monte Carlo-style projection that bootstraps your own R-multiple history to estimate your probability of hitting a profit target or blowing through a drawdown limit within your next N trades. It's part of the Dashboard's Risk & Discipline area.

Is there a free trial?

There's no separate free trial, but there is a genuine Free plan (see above) you can use indefinitely — no credit card required — before deciding to upgrade.

Is my trade data private?

Yes — your trades, journal entries, and any screenshots you attach to a trade are stored privately and scoped to your account only.

Your next 50 trades are data.
Start capturing them.

Import your first CSV in minutes. Free plan, no credit card — upgrade only when you outgrow it.
